Kind of classic when opponents discards two it usualyy means pair+big card and if everyone is discarding 3 in a limp pot keeping the ace is usually the best play, someone correct me if im wrong.Īssuming no joker, Hero has a better chance to make trip fours if he draws three than if he draws two, but trip fours are not much better than two pairs, aces over. But on the other hand I only play 5-card chicago =Pīut with reads on your opponents hand-range maybe discard could be the option too, if you for instance know that the table limps with aces a lot (seeing a aces spread througout the hands during showdown) maybe keeping another broadway card is better.
It really depends but often I keep the ace because its easier to v-bet two pair when one of them is aces.
